You can give this virtual machine a try and see how easy and fast it is, if you like the GUI and the interface, go ahead and install it on real old hardware. It will make your old, dumped computer with low specifications come to life again. You can try the virtual appliance to see what all programs and features it comes with and give it a spin without actually even ever formatting your hard drive, once you are comfortable with running the Virtual Appliance, you can go ahead with the real physical install.
